Joe Baker

Joe Baker is a professor of sport science at York University in Toronto, Canada. For over 25 years, he’s examined the role of various factors on athlete development and performance, and is recognized as a world leader in the science of talent identification and development. During his academic career, Joe has been President of the Canadian Society for Psychomotor Learning and Sport Psychology and has held visiting researcher/professor positions in the United Kingdom, Australia, and Germany. He is an active writer and speaker, having published 12 books and hundreds of scientific articles and book chapters as well as presenting his work to scientists and practitioners around the globe. Currently, he works with high performance sports teams and organizations in their quests for international and professional success.
